10 years as a partner of Grant Thornton - Whangarei,
with 5 years as Managing partner.

During my time at Grant Thornton I was on their
Audit / Accounting and Management committees;
(2 years as chairman of the Audit / Accounting
committee), and helped establish their staff training
programs.

In December 1999 I left Grant Thornton to establish
Business Advice Limited, a business advisory firm
focusing on business development and improvement,
while still retaining a strong management and
accounting base.

5 years as a committee member of the Northland
branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
of New Zealand. 2 years as chairman.
